With the increasing complexity of modern technology and the continuing emphasis on professionalism, it is apparent that the emergency services and related areas have evolved into a highly technical and sophisticated science requiring competently trained individuals. Aware of this situation, the Office of the Fire Commissioner, Manitoba Emergency Services College is dedicated to providing programs and services of superior quality to meet the immediate, as well as the future needs in our ever changing society and to enhance the quality of life safety to all. As a broad-based emergency services training organization, the Manitoba Emergency Services College offers training from the basic skills to the management of major emergency incidents. Many of the College programs and courses are accredited through the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications Systems (PRO BOARD).
