2020 Electricians' Licence Renewal Process
Electrical licences expire on December 31, 2020 however, this date has been extended to April 30, 2021 (unless sooner revoked). Renewal letters were mailed early in November. If you did not received the letter via Canada Post, your current address may not be accurate in our system. Update your address by emailing ITSTrades@gov.mb.ca with details. A second extension of this expiration date will not be considered. Your employer or entity with whom you are bound by contract are not obligated to recognize this extended date. It is your responsibility to ensure your licence meets their requirements.

The renewal fee is $160.00.
Due to COVID-19, the office is not open to the public. Renewals and payment will be processed by only the Winnipeg office location.

The electronic online form will accept only Visa or MasterCard. To pay online you will need to enter your licence number found on this renewal letter. A receipt will be sent to the email address you provide on the online form.
Credit Card Payment sent by mail.
Detach and mail the completed Licence Renewal Form (See link to Licence Renewal Notice and Form below) with the Credit Card Information to 508-401 York Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 0P8.
Cheque or Money Order payable to the Minister of Finance sent by mail.
Detach and mail the completed Licence Renewal Form (See link to Licence Renewal Notice and Form below) with the Cheque or Money Order to 508-401 York Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 0P8.
If you have not received your renewal letter by mail download a copy of the Licence Renewal Notice and Form - A portion of this form MUST be completed and accompany when paying by credit card (sent by mail), cheque or money order (sent by mail).
It is anticipated that processing will take 4 - 6 weeks.
