Upcoming Examination Schedules for Gas Fitter & Oil Burner, Limited Electrical Trade and Power Engineers

Please read the requirements regarding application for examinations below.

Examination seating is limited and eligibility for preferred dates is on a first come, first served basis

Request to Reschedule/Withdraw Application

Once confirmation of an exam sitting has been issued:

  • The applicant may request to reschedule 1 time only.  The request must be made 5 working days prior to the exam date and must be made in writing.  The fee will be forfeited when the request is made later than 5 business days prior to the exam date and/or made verbally. 
  • There will be no refund issued when an applicant fails to appear for an examination for which they have been confirmed.  The fee will be forfeited.
  • A second request to reschedule may not be considered resulting in the need to reapply for a future exam sitting.  Cut-off date and requirements for completed application will apply.
  • The applicant may cancel their application to write an examination, in writing and no later than 5 business days prior to their selected examination date.  The fee will be refunded.  The fee will be forfeited when the request is made later than 5 business days and/or made verbally.

Incomplete Applications

An application is considered incomplete when:
  • The application form itself is incomplete,
    • If fee has been processed you will receive a refund and will be required to reapply. 
  • The applicant does not meet applicable prerequisites,
    • If fee has been processed you will receive a refund and will be required to reapply. 
  • The applicant’s fee has not been processed within a minimum of 20 working days prior to scheduled examination date.
    • If the application is complete and the applicant meets the applicable prerequisites but payment was processed AFTER the minimum 20 working days, you may be scheduled your second date choice or next available sitting.  A refund will not be automatically issued.  You will receive confirmation of exam sitting.  You may then refer to “Request to Reschedule or Request to Cancel/Refund” if you are not satisfied with the confirmed time and date.

Dates may change or new examination dates may be added.  Specific exam locations will be supplied with written confirmation.  Do not assume you have been scheduled unless you have received written confirmation.

Proof of further education and/or hours logged under a licensed employer must accompany an application for a re-write at the 4th and 7th attempts, for exams in each program area. There is a 90 day waiting period between examination re-writes.
